Echoes of Migration Summit 2025

With 21 speakers, the Echoes of Migration Summit brings together artists, curators, cultural leaders, and community representatives to explore the intersections of migration and creative practice.

This summit will examine how art fosters belonging, well-being, and social change. Discussions will highlight the challenges and contributions of migrant artists, the impact of public art on communities, and strategies for cultural collaboration. The event aims to amplify underrepresented voices, providing migrant artists with a platform to share their work and engage directly with curators & cultural institutions.

The summit takes place after the Echoes of Migration Public Art installation. Find out more about that event here.

What you need to know

The program will unfold over a full day of dynamic panel discussions, artistic presentations, and networking opportunities, with a focus on institutional inclusion, hybrid identities, and the role of art as activism. Participants can expect a balance of personal narratives and forward-looking strategies designed to inspire practical change across the creative sector.

To extend the summit’s reach beyond the physical event, all sessions will be recorded and made available through an interactive digital archive. Highlights will also feature in a forthcoming storytelling documentary, while an evolving public art map will reflect community responses and key moments. This hybrid model ensures the summit’s conversations continue to grow—fostering lasting dialogue, visibility, and engagement across borders.
